Are you ready to flex your strength for your community? Join United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties for the Fire Truck Pull, a fun, high-energy event where teams compete to pull a real fire truck and raise funds to support local programs and services.


How It Works

  • Build Your Team or Join One of Ours: Teams can have up to 20 participants. The fire engine is heavy, so the more people you recruit, the better your chances for a fast pull.
  • Fundraise: We suggest a minimum goal of $100 per participant. A full team of 20 can raise $2,000 for local programs and services, but every dollar raised helps make a difference.
  • Compete: On event day, teams compete to pull the fire engine the fastest while supporting United Way's Annual Campaign and our local nonprofit partner agencies.


Who Should Join

Whether you're a group of coworkers, gym buddies, first responders, or just a crew of spirited friends, this is your chance to show off your teamwork and muscle for a great cause.


Awards & Bragging Rights

  • Top Fundraiser - Individual with the highest total at the time of the final pull will win 2 round trip tickets to Orlando (SFB) compliments of North Central WV Airport
  • Top Fundraising Team - The team with the highest total will win individual prize bags
  • Fastest Pull - Speed and strength win an awesome trophy and bragging rights
  • Most Team Spirit - Wins an awesome trophy - costumes, chants, and flair encouraged!

United Way would like to invite businesses and organizations to support the event through sponsorship. Sponsors will benefit from extensive media coverage, strong social media reach, and direct access to a diverse and influential audience. Sponsorship levels include:

 

Rope Sponsor ($5,000+) — Includes an exclusive banner displayed on the pulling rope, plus all Blaze benefits.
 Blaze ($2,500) — Premier logo placement on the event website, signage, and printed materials; media and social recognition.
 Ember Sponsor ($1,000) — Secondary logo placement on event materials and website, along with media and social recognition.
 Spark Sponsor ($500) — Name listing on event materials and website, plus media and social recognition.
