Gift Wrapping Booth Volunteer Coordinator

United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties is looking for a volunteer to help coordinate schedules for our annual Gift Wrapping Booth at Meadowbrook Mall from December 4th - 24th.

This volunteer will assist United Way staff by reaching out to existing gift wrapping booth volunteers, helping schedule shifts, and connecting with new volunteers and businesses that are interested in participating. The goal is simply to help keep the schedule organized and ensure volunteers know when and where they are needed.

Responsibilities

• Contact returning volunteers to see if they'd like to help this year.
• Help fill booth shifts by scheduling volunteers throughout the season.
• Follow up with individuals, groups, and businesses interested in volunteering.
• Share schedules and reminders with volunteers as needed.
• Let United Way staff know about any open shifts or scheduling questions.

What We're Looking For

• Friendly and comfortable communicating by phone and email.
• Organized and dependable.
• Enjoys working with people and supporting community efforts.

Time Commitment A few hours each week leading up to the event and during the gift wrapping booth season. Most of the work can be done from home on a flexible schedule.

Why It Matters The Gift Wrapping Booth is a longstanding holiday tradition that raises funds to support our Annual Campaign which helps fund 19 local nonprofit Partner Agencies. 100% of every dollar raised will go directly to one of these nonprofits. By helping coordinate volunteers, you'll play an important role in making this community fundraiser a success.
