United Way of Harrison County and our partners are committed to ensuring that our communities have the support they need to withstand the short and long-term impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak. We have created a Harrison County Response and Recovery Fund that will allow us to rapidly deploy resources to community-based organizations in Harrison County who are offering emergency relief to families and individuals in need.
ABOUT THE FUND
United Way of Harrison County and our partners are committed to ensuring that our communities have the support they need to withstand the short and long-term impacts of the coronavirus outbreak. Hosted by United Way in partnership with corporate, nonprofit and foundation entities, and individual donors like you, this Response and Recovery Fund will allow us to rapidly deploy resources to community-based organizations in Harrison County who are offering emergency relief to families and individuals in need. With your support, United Way and our partners will be best able to assist vulnerable populations, such as seniors, children and low-income families.
The fund will be used for a multitude of efforts to help with recovery, including, but not limited to:
- Food distribution to students affected by school closures and other vulnerable populations that are isolated or lack access.
- Availability of shelter beds for people experiencing homelessness who do not have the resources needed to stay safe
- Operational funding gaps for health and human service agencies
- Loss of income and access to services for vulnerable populations
- Supplies and materials for those who are working to address this pandemic
100% of all donations will stay local and 100% of donations will be used for these emergency needs.
